This work was presented at Haneda Innovation City,

located near Tokyo's Haneda Airport.

The four videos assigned to the north, south, east, and west directions are programmed to switch every minute. Additionally, the order of the next clip is designed to be determined by the current wind direction at a randomly selected airport around the world every minute.

Examining the similarity between the randomness generated by a set algorithm and the phenomena in nature that appear random, it can also be considered that natural phenomena, like algorithms, are actually governed by causal relationships.

この作品は東京の羽田空港近くにあるHaneda Innovation Cityで発表されました。

東西南北の四方向に割り当てられた4つの映像は、1分ごとに切り替わるようにプログラムされており、また1分おきにランダムに選ばれる世界中の飛行場のその時の風向きによって次のクリップの順番が決まるように設計されています。

設定されたアルゴリズムによるランダムネスと、自然界で見られるランダムに見える現象との間に類似性があると考える。しかし、自然界の現象も実際には因果関係によって支配されており、単に複雑で予測不可能なために“ランダム”に見えるだけではないかという視点も抱かれる。
