untitled no.2 Statement:
This is a performance in consideration of memory. I found old film footage in my grandmother’s house last winter. I watched the film and I found that it contains full of family history. I found it interesting that we strive to capture the moment by archiving as if we resist against the character of our memory, which updates and fades day by day. Then I wonder what we see, who might be continuously living the moment, through the images on films if we don’t have the fresh memory as before. Anyhow, the film is not immortal. The image of the film will decay eventually. Memory is always unstable, it is like a collaged piece that modifies its shape by assembling fragments of memory from different time and space. I wonder what do you see within your memory?
